It's hard to know how and where to start when it comes to buying a home. Do you just make a call to a number of a house you're interested in? Will they take you seriously? How do you know what to ask about? I found that it can be confusing - until I met Colleen Fueling.Colleen made a process that looked SUPER intimidating into a process that I was much more comfortable with by having Colleen by our side. Here's how the process starts with her. First - give her a call. She's SUPER friendly and has a nice sense of humor but knows how to be serious, making her an amiable and professional at the same time - both being the types of qualities I need for something as crazy as buying a home. Next - she'll sign you up for a cool website that has some of the latest listings - And I mean latest as in things that are not even on the market yet. And that's how we found our place: The site Colleen signed us up for was a HUGE help in finding it. It was around 9-ish when we were sitting there looking at the website after doing our first viewing the day before and not being interested in the house we saw in Carson City. My girlfriend was browsing the site and found one in Dayton that was to go on the market on the first of the year (2021). She immediately called Colleen who responded like a bear defending her young! She called up the realtor who was handling the house for the sellers (at after 9 at night!) and got us a showing the next day! We loved it and put in an offer after showing. Colleen called right when we decided we wanted it and put that offer in on the spot. We crossed our fingers and that same night the sellers accepted. But Colleen's job was far from done and she knew it! With every single correspondance she received from the sellers and with every question we had for the sellers, Colleen jumped on it immediately and made us informed of EVERY SINGLE action. Even when she couldn't get a hold of someone, she would call us back to tell us that she's waiting on "so-and-so." The day of each inspection came around and she was there before we arrived. She noted every concern and communicated it to the seller's agent right after each appointment. When the questions required immediate answers, she phoned the seller's agent on the spot and got answers. At one point she even got the agent to come out to the house to make sure things were set after the water had been turned off by the city on one of the inspection days! She's a tiger and she fights for ya like one! I don't have enough good things to say about Colleen. Finally the day came and Colleen met us at our house to hand us the keys and bid us congradulations. I've gotta say, I've heard of this process being a complete pain in the neck but it was SO easy because of Colleen's help. What makes it even more easy is that she's VERY approachable and makes you feel like no question you have is a stupid one. So ask away if you're a first time buyer like we were! If she's not sure, she'll tell you so and will find the heck out.The too-long-didn't-read of this is Colleen is responsive and will fight for you to get you a home while being one of the nicest people in the world to you and yours. Also, she says Wisonsin in a REALLY cool way so keep an ear out for that.
